Anonymous Potter Studio Fellowship Program
This program is intended to support an emerging potter through the provision of a single private studio space for a 12-month period (valued at $2,200).  In addition to a free studio, the fellowship includes ongoing opportunities to teach adult and children's classes through NCC's education program.  The fellowship recipient can develop his/her own body of work, experiment with various techniques and processes, and participate (at no charge for most) NCC workshops and lectures.  The 2012 AP Studio Fellow's work will be included in a group exhibition in January 2014, which will also feature the work of NCC's other studio fellowship recipients.

One studio fellowship will be awarded in 2012.  The AP Studio Fellow will occupy a private, fully furnished studio space (measuring approximately 95 square feet) September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013.

This program is made possible by funds generated from the sale of “heritage pots” donated to NCC.  The first such sale was of historic Warren MacKenzie pots, given to the Clay Center by an anonymous donor.

2011 Anonymous Potter Studio Fellowship
Kip O'Krongly Nuclear Cake Stand with Canary CoverNorthern Clay Center announces the recipient of the 2010 Anonymous Potter Studio Fellowship.  Anonymous Potter Fellow, Kip O'Krongly, Northfield, MN, will begin her year-long residency in October. This program is made possible by funds generated from the sale of repurposed pots donated to NCC.  The first such sale was of historic Warren MacKenzie pots, given to the Clay Center by an anonymous donor. Recent donors have included the family of the late potter shirley Johnson and countless others who donated pots to the July 16 Repurposed Pots Sale.

This program is designed to nurture the creative expression of aspiring ceramic artists by providing them with an opportunity to be in residence for one year at Northern Clay Center, where they can develop their own work and, at the same time, exchange ideas and knowledge with other ceramic artists.

The grant recipient will occupy a studio at the Center and have the opportunity to teach through NCC's education and outreach programs.  Additionally, her work will be included in the 2013 Red Wing, Fogelberg, and Anonymous Potter Exhibition, scheduled to open mid-January, 2013.

The application deadline for the 2012 calendar year programs will be April 20, 2012. New application forms and eligibility criteria will be available later this year.
