Gib Krohn Bird WhistleGib Krohn received his B.A. in studio arts from the University of Minnesota.  He has studied ceramics with Karl Borgeson, Warren MacKenzie, Bob Broderson, and Curt Hoard.  For a while, he operated his own studio/gallery, the West Bank Stoneware Pottery.  After moving to rural Wisconsin, Krohn shifted his emphasis from traditional, wheel-thrown pottery to hand-built clay whistles.  Krohn has conducted several workshops on whistle-making, and his work has been shown in galleries in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Moorhead, Stockholm, Wisconsin, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
