Gib Krohn received his B.A. in studio arts from the University of Minnesota.  He has studied ceramics with Karl Borgeson, Warren MacKenzie, Bob Broderson, and Curt Hoard.  For a while, he operated his own studio/gallery, the West Bank Stoneware Pottery.  After moving to rural Wisconsin, Krohn shifted his emphasis from traditional, wheel-thrown pottery to hand-built clay whistles.  Krohn has conducted several workshops on whistle-making, and his work has been shown in galleries in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Moorhead, Stockholm, Wisconsin, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
