Sales Gallery Application
Sales Gallery Jury in July
Northern Clay Center conducted its biennial review of the artists in the Sales Gallery during summer 2007. The next review will be in 2009.Three to five clay artists may be added to the roster of artists represented by the Sales Gallery during the year and/or for the Holiday Exhibition. NCC carries work on consignment; the current split between artist and Center is 60/40 respectively (member discounts of 10% are shared equally between artist and NCC).
When NCC reopens a call for submissions, interested artists must submit the following materials to the Clay Center:
- a current vita or resume, including information about other sales representation
- no more than 10 slides or digital images of current work, labeled with the artist's name and detailed information about the work including dimensions, materials, firing method or finish, and retail price (taking into account the consignment split)
- no more than 5 actual pieces, priced and representative of current work that would be consigned to the Sales Gallery. (While exercising all reasonable care, the Clay Center cannot assume responsibility for work submitted to NCC for such review, while the work is at the Center or in transit.)
Applicants are responsible for delivering or sending the work to NCC and for picking it up, or return shipping, after the review is complete.
