Sales Gallery Application 

Northern Clay Center’s 2013 Sales Gallery Jury

Notification of Results: June 10, 2013


Northern Clay Center will conduct its next biennial review of the artists in the Sales Gallery in the end of May 2013. The review allows for both a consideration of work by new artists, and evaluation of work presently in the Sales Gallery. Artists may be added to the roster of artists represented year round by the NCC Sales Gallery and/or for the Holiday Exhibition only. A panel of NCC staff and one or two non-staff individuals who are knowledgeable about ceramics, art, design, and retail will jury the work. Interested artists should submit the following materials to the Clay Center:

Application materials to be submitted electronically to salesgalleryapplications@northernclaycenter.org:
  • A completed Sales Gallery Application Form (40KB Excel File)
  • A current resume or vita (no more than three pages)
  • An artist statement (no more than one page)
  • 8 digital images of current work with detailed information about the work including dimensions, materials, firing method or finish, and price.  At least one of your 8 digital images should be one of the four pieces you deliver to NCC.

Application materials that must be mailed or delivered to the Northern Clay Center:
  • Four actual pieces, priced and representative of current work that would be consigned to the Sales Gallery.

All work must arrive display ready by 5 pm on May 28, 2013.  Applicants are responsible for delivering or sending the work samples to NCC, and for picking it up, or return shipping, after the review is complete. While exercising all reasonable care, NCC cannot assume any responsibility for work submitted for review, while the work is at the Clay Center or in transit.
