Artists Services
NCC directly supports the creative work of clay artists through individual grants and access to studio facilities and specialized equipment. The Center provides individual financial support through three ARTIST GRANT programs:
  • Jerome Project and Residency Grants – for emerging artists, from Minnesota (two project grants, through application) and New York City (one residency grant, through nomination and application)
  • McKnight Fellowship and Residency Grants for Ceramic Artists – for mid-career artists from Minnesota (two fellowship grants, through application) and outside Minnesota (four residency grants, through application)
  • Visiting Artists Studios – for artists of all ages (including up to three Fogelberg Fellowships for six months to one year, through application)

Thirty-four spaces of varying size are available through the STUDIO PROGRAM for one- to three-year licenses, renewable for a maximum of 10 years. Applications are reviewed twice a year, in April and November.

In addition, NCC supports clay artists through teaching contracts, exhibitions and sale of work.
