3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off

February 10, 5 – 7 pm

Back by popular demand, we kick off the ART@HAND series with the 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off on Thursday, February 10, from 5 - 7 pm at Northern Clay Center.  Bring a crock-pot of chili or just bring your appetite: we will provide the fixin's (onions, cheese, sour cream) and the sides (cornbread and cold beer), until we run out.  We are pleased to have cornbread donated again this year by the generous folks at Longfellow Grill. (If you can’t come to NCC for the chili night, visit www.longfellowgrill.com for more information about the Longfellow Grill.)

A carefully selected panel of judges will award prizes in each of the four categories:

•   Red Chili - Hoof (beef, pork, boar)
•   Red Chili - Fowl (chicken, turkey, duck)
•   Vegetarian Chili
•   White Chili

A special award goes to the People's Choice Top Chili.  For this award, each chili competes against every other chili, regardless of category. Judging starts at 5 pm for chili prizes.  Everyone will get a ballot when they check in at the front desk and must be submitted by 6:30pm, winners will be announced by 7pm.

Free to Compete- $5 to Eat!
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.  A small charge of $5 for non-competitors is payable in advance or at the door.  Buy a pottery bowl and your admission fee will be subtracted from the price of the bowl. There is a cash bar for beer and wine.
