Explore the anatomy of the figure and learn to morph and abstract both human and animal figures. Develop figurative forms to express the conceptual meanings of your work. The teaching artist will demonstrate construction methods and surface techniques for wet, leather-hard, and bisqued ware according to the students’ needs and interests. Class time will consist of weekly demonstrations and work time. Participants will use low-temperature clay bodies, and glazes. Designed for students at all levels. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with lusters and flocking during supervised class times, and only in this particular class.
