Alison Beech, Community Engagement Manager

A graduate of St. Olaf College and Northeastern University, Alison Beech’s twin loves of social justice and art have met in her position of Community Engagement Manager. With a Masters in Urban and Regional Policy, where she studied non-profit management, program evaluation, and community building, and a Bachelors in Fine Arts, Political Science, and American Racial and Multicultural Studies, Alison is ready wrangle with tough issues. Coordinating arts access with populations that are often underserved from youth through adulthood in schools, community centers, senior living facilities, and many other settings, is a great way to spend her work day! In her spare time, Alison loves to read, knit, sew, cook, and relax with clay. She has an ardent love of the outdoors, hiking, swimming, and camping whenever the opportunity arises. “Art is the greatest tool for breaking down barriers, giving a voice and means of expression to those often unable to be heard, and making the world a safer and more equitable place.”
