Gib Krohn received his BA in studio arts from the University of Minnesota. He studied ceramics with Karl Borgeson, Bob Brodersen, Curtis Hoard, and Warren MacKenzie. For awhile, he operated his own studio/gallery—the West Bank Stoneware Pottery. After moving to rural Wisconsin, Krohn shifted his emphasis from traditional, wheel-thrown pottery to handbuilt clay whistles. Krohn has conducted several workshops on whistle making, and his work has been shown in galleries in St. Paul; Minneapolis; Moorhead; Stockholm, WI; and Scottsdale, AZ.
