Marion Angelica

Marion Angelica received her MFA in ceramics from the State University of New York—New Paltz, her MA from the University of Minnesota—Duluth, and her BA in sculpture and biology from Mount Holyoke College, MA. Her pottery has been exhibited across the US in such exhibits as Strictly Functional, where she won the HACC
Purchase Award, and Porcelain Cups at Pottery West, NV, where she was awarded Best of Show. With the Jerome Grant, she is travelling to the Southwest to investigate and later incorporate into her work the unique aspects of the landscape. Angelica states, “The arid quality and limited vegetation of the high desert allow one to both see and sense how the forces of wind and water shape the land... [and] resonate strongly with my personal aesthetic. I would like to incorporate this same sense of ‘nature-sculpted forms’ into my ceramic work.”
