Marion Angelica

Marion Angelica has been a studio artist and teacher at The Northern Clay Center for over a dozen years.  She handbuilds sculpturally-oriented functional works from high fire porcelain.  Over the years her work has been awarded three MN State Arts Board Individual Artist grants and a Jerome Foundation fellowship.  Additionally she has taken prizes in national shows and been awarded residencies in Jingdezen, China and Skopelos, Greece and given workshops throughout the US.

In addition to her work in clay, she has written articles for Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated. She is an avid reader and does volunteer work teaching English to Minnesota’s newest immigrant citizens. And in a future life, she will become a modern dancer, but currently feels that clay is her partner as she dances with her hands.
