Linda Sikora is a professor of art at New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Rooted in function, Sikora states, “I am interested in pottery form for its familiarity and congeniality, its ability to disappear into private/personal activities and places. But this is only one aspect of the work that, through its intelligence of color, form, and stance, can also excite/awaken attention and thereby reflects back to viewers their own imagination.” Sikora has been regularly published in Ceramics Monthly, American Craft, and Ceramics: Art and Perception, among other journals and books. Her work can be found in public institutions such as the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA.
