ClayToGo at Uptown Art Fair
August 3 – 5, Northern Clay Center staff and teaching artists can be found at the annual Uptown Art Fair, providing hands-on clay activities to all ages. Take a few moments and stop by NCC’s booth, watch potter’s wheel demonstrations throughout the day, and get your hands in some clay with the guidance of ClayToGo teaching artists at the Family Imagination Station. Creatives of all ages are invited to make and decorate a unique work of clay art while being inspired by the energy, atmosphere, and artists featured at the Uptown Art Fair. Bring your creative ideas and let one of the pros help you bring your idea to life in the form of a permanent one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art!
After the weekend, projects will be fired and clear glazed, and will be ready for pick-up at NCC at the end of August.
This activity is free, open to the public, and is for all ages and abilities. Northern Clay Center is excited to continue its long-standing partnership with the Uptown Art Fair and appreciates the Uptown Association’s commitment to free, family-centric, and accessible arts programming at the Fair.
NCC’s ClayToGo program brings specialized, hands-on clay experience to every school and organization with which we partner. If you have a school or organization that is interested in a clay session, a tour of NCC’s facilities, or a clay demonstration, please contact Alison Beech, Community Engagement Manager, at 612.339.8007 x313 or email@example.com.
