A Conversation with Namita Gupta Wiggers
Join curator, writer, and Critical Craft Forum co-founder and director Namita Gupta Wiggers as she discusses her recent projects in the fields of ceramics and craft. Wiggers’ worked as curator for the Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland, Oregon, and as a juror for the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale (2015, 2017). European Ceramic Context (2014), among other events, has made her a leading critical voice on community and equity in craft. She is interested in new ways to discuss and exhibit ceramics, as seen in Across the Table, Across the Land, which she curated with Michael Strand in 2016 for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference. Co-sponsored by the American Craft Council, the conversation will be held June 8 in STUDIO D at Northern Clay Center, 2424 Franklin Ave E, in Minneapolis.
