NCC at NCECA
NCC’s Sales Gallery, Exhibition, Artist Grants, and Education departments will travel to Portland, Oregon, to participate in the 51st annual conference, Future Flux, held by the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) from March 21 – 25. During the conference, NCC will show the work of local, sales gallery, grant recipient, and 2017 American Pottery Festival artists in the Gallery Expo. We will also represent the work of a few long-time favorites for a total roster of over 45 artists. Some 5000 ceramics lovers will visit Portland in conjunction with the conference, and NCC’s satellite gallery is the perfect opportunity to continue to celebrate the relationships and artists that help keep NCC relevant and dynamic.
NCC will also staff a table in the Resource Hall to further promote our artist services such as the MN NICE program, and grants and residencies for current students, emerging artists, and mid-career artists. The Resource Hall is the place to ask questions, meet staff, and receive valuable information about opportunities for artists at NCC.
In addition, NCC will be exhibiting A Tipping Point: Technology in Ceramics as an NCECA Concurrent Exhibition, at the MFA Applied Craft & Design building. The exhibition will be open from March 21 – 25, from 10 am to 5 pm, with a reception on Friday, March 24, from 5 to 9 pm. As a Concurrent Exhibition, NCC’s A Tipping Point will be on the NCECA shuttle bus route on Wednesday, March 22. Please join us for the reception!
If you are attending the 51st Annual NCECA conference in Portland, do stop by the NCC Gallery, resource table, and A Tipping Point to enjoy new work, lectures, learning, and the opportunity to add to your collection!
