Ursula Hargens will give a gallery talk at Northern Clay Center and preview her upcoming exhibition at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in September 2105. For this project, Ursula used original source material from the botanical collections at the Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine and the Andersen Horticultural Library at the University of Minnesota to create a series of tiles that reflect the evolving relationship between humans and the natural world.

Join us for a preview of the work and a conversation with the artist on Monday, June 29, at 5:30 pm in NCC’s sales gallery.

Ursula Hargens is a fiscal year 2014 recipient of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
