Visiting Artist Lecture: Paul Andrew Wandless

Born in Miami and raised in Delaware, Paul Andrew Wandless currently lives and works in Chicago, IL. His current body of work utilizes the figure/torso as a point of departure for visual narratives. Ceramic processes and printmaking techniques are combined to create clay prints, freestanding & wall mounted clay sculpture, mixed-media sculpture, prints, works on paper and paintings. The works are abstract expressive self-portraits reflecting concerns, beliefs and musings of his surroundings and day-to-day experiences. Wandless is also the author of Image Transfer On Clay (2006).

He holds an MFA from Arizona State University, a Master of Art from Minnesota State University – Mankato, and a BFA degree from the University of Delaware.
