Distance Lesson Plans
This section has new lessons that are being generated specifically for, and in reaction to, the distance learning situation that we are all now embracing. Many of these lessons use alternative materials, things readily accessible in peoples homes, and are tangentially related to clay and the elements of art and design, even while using different tactile components.

In-Person Lesson Plans
NCC's teaching artists have numerous projects to spice up your classroom instruction.
We are thrilled to share with you a selection of the exciting and engaging lesson plans. NCC teaching artists continue to create new lessons to share with art educators to supplement their classroom, so the resources here will continue to be updated as new lessons are developed! It is notable that a good portion of the initial lessons available here were produced by Ursula Hargens as part of Northern Clay Center's 2015/2016 Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Access grant in support of Minnesota Art Educator training.
