Parties & Events

Celebrate your special event with a creative and memorable hands-on experience at Northern Clay Center. Our clay events encourage people of all ages to develop their imaginations and are a wonderful introduction to the rewards of making art. Participants learn basic handbuilding and glazing techniques to make something that will be a permanent reminder of the event. Great for birthday parties, scout meetings, play groups, and homeschool groups.

All of our instructors are professional artists who have extensive experience teaching groups of all ages. Artworks remain at the Clay Center to be fired and can be picked up about two weeks after the event.

Scheduling
We require advance notice of two weeks to schedule clay events or birthdays. Many daytime and evening hours are available on both weekdays and weekends, depending on other classes and events. Call 612.339.8007 x313 to schedule an event.

Adult & Corporate Events

Need to build morale, improve team dynamics, reward group efforts, or celebrate an event or occasion? Schedule your business team-building event at the Clay Center. Adult birthday parties, family reunions, retirement parties, and more are excellent at NCC. Select a handbuilding project or work on the potter’s wheel with a dynamic teaching artist. Spend a few hours or the whole day as you learn to work with your peers in a relaxed, stress-free environment.

Potential projects include:

  • Team-building groups: collaborative cups, ‘me’ boxes, picture frames, logo tiles, business-related sculptures, desk accessories.
  • Or choose from a variety of projects from mugs and bowls, animals, jars, garden sculpture, decorated plates, tiles, or projects from your wildest dreams – the sky’s the limit for courageous adults!
