Save the Date! 2019 American Pottery Festival

Join us for the 21st Annual American Pottery Festival, September 6 – 8, 2019. Our annual fundraiser will once again gather national artists representing the best in their fields and offer a diverse array of ideations, processes, and forms and surfaces. The event kicks off with our Opening Night Party on Friday, September 6, 2019.

The American Pottery Festival, an annual three-day event and NCC’s largest fundraiser each year, serves as a mindfully forged platform that brings together makers, clay lovers, learners, collectors, and simply the curious, to play and to be inspired.

Each year, the event includes artists from large and small markets around the country, artists from all career stages and ages, and some local gems. The richness of experience, knowledge, and generosity represented by 2019’s artists will provide learning opportunities for everyone, from student to collector to fellow maker. The weekend is always filled with the chance to engage directly with artists during image presentations, workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and casual gallery chats.

The APF Preview Show in April is your first chance to see a sampling of work from each 2019 artist. It is on view in our Sales Gallery from April 2 – May 5. We are fortunate to also represent most of this year’s artists during the NCECA conference right here in Minneapolis, March 26 – 29. NCC invites you to visit us at our NCECA Gallery Expo space to be the very first to see their collective work in person at a special Members Preview opening reception on the evening of March 26.

Updates on APF events, artist rosters, ticket prices, volunteer needs, and opportunities to purchase work online or to register for workshops are available here. This year’s pre-festival workshops will be led by Linda Christianson and Jan McKeachie Johnston (2-day workshop duo), and Sunshine Cobb (1-day workshop). Register early to reserve your spot in the studio!
