Julia Timm

​Julia Colman Timm owns and operates Fresh Mud Pottery in Minneapolis, where she also lives.  Timm has exhibited her work regionally and nationally, in both invitational and juried exhibitions such as 100 Teapots VI at Baltimore Clayworks, Baltimore, MD, and the 3rd Biennial Central Time Ceramics at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. In 2010, Timm won the Best of Show award in the Soda Salt National V, held in Missoula, MT, at The Clay Studio of Missoula. She builds her forms by hand from stoneware and porcelain clays.  Highly influenced by her traditional origami creations, Timm says,   "My design process leads me to the resulting form which is only dimly imagined at the start."
