Robbie Lobell
Coupeville, Washington

Robbie Lobell is a full-time studio potter and pottery teacher living and working in Coupeville, on Whidbey Island, about an hour north of Seattle, Washington. She has been working in clay for more than 30 years, receiving her education in ceramics through residencies, apprenticeships, and assistantships. Lobell’s “Cook on Clay” flameware cooking pots are made with a “flameproof” clay that is designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Her pots can go directly from the refrigerator to a hot oven and back again without cracking. They are perfect for the grill, and some of her round-bottomed forms are specifically designed for use on the stovetop. All of Lobell’s pots are built for durability and performance and intended for everyday use.
