Robert Archambeau currently lives in Bissett, Manitoba, Canada where he has worked as a studio potter since his retirement in 1991 from the School of Art at the University of Manitoba. Originally from the United States, Archambeau received a BFA from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and an MFA in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred. A wood-fire potter, he regularly travels to the United States and around the world to fire with artists such as Chuck Hindes, John Neely, Torbjorn Kvasbo, and most regularly, with Dan Anderson. In 2003, Archambeau received the 2003 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts in Canada. His work is part of many public and private collections.
