Samantha Longley, Education Coordinator

Born and raised around the Midwest, Samantha has enthusiastically settled in Minneapolis and rooted herself into the strong and vibrant arts community. Preparing for a life in the arts since she was 4, Sam pursued and graduated with a degree in Studio Art from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul with an emphasis in ceramics. Since then, her career in the arts has had many facets including being an educator and studio artist. For the past eight years, Sam coordinated and taught the nature-based arts program at Silverwood Park in St. Anthony. She also taught art at local private schools to grades K-8 and maintained a studio practice and small business with her porcelain wares. In 2019, she found her sweet spot as Education Coordinator at NCC. Here, she is overjoyed to marry her passions of ceramics, education, and community. In her spare time, Sam enjoys spending as much time as possible outside whether hiking, foraging, gardening, or bird-watching. She can often be found visiting local breweries with her husband, friends, and family; playing with different art mediums; or catching up on shows and podcasts with her two cats.
